Zebra and Paint Splatters
Cake #2 for a girl at the Haven. After seeing some of the cakes that I had done, she requested a zebra and paint splatter cake. After doing the paint splatters once, it didn't take me as long as it did the first time! Happy Birthday Kelsey Cooper!
Blue and Orange 16th Birthday Cake
After moving to TN to work at a girls home, I began making cakes for each girl's birthday. This became more of a ministry than a money maker, which I'm okay with :) I used the remainder of the bedazzled jewels to add some bling to the cake since this wasn't a very feminine cake to begin with. Happy Birthday Kelsey Reid!

Pink and Blue Wedding Cake
Happy Wedding Day, Amber! I used my cake cricut for the first time on this cake. What a fun toy to play with! Also, if you've never bedazzled anything, it also works with cakes. Those little prongs stick right into the fondant with no problem. Cheap way to add bling to a cake! The top and bottom layers were red velvet and the middle layer was a butter cake.

Minnie Mouse Birthday Cake
I created this cake for my daughter, Sydney for her 3rd birthday. I wanted to do something quick and simple since most 3 yr. olds don't care what their cake looks like. I created the ears out of fondant covered cardboard to cut down on the weight. The fabric that I bought matched perfectly with the colors I originally had picked out.

Pea in the Pod Baby Shower Cake
I made this cake for a baby shower for my best friend, Jen. I got the design from several different sources, one being the pinkcakebox.com. It was my first attempt making a pea in the pod, but I was very pleased how it turned out! Congrats Ben and Jen...and Welcome Callie Grace!

"The Office" Birthday cake
Being a huge fan of "the office", I had such a fun time making this cake for my friend. On this cake I included Michael's mug (changing boss to friend), various quotes from the office on gumpaste sticky notes around the side of the cake, the red wire from one of the practical jokes Jim played on Dwight, and Michael's white shirt and blue tie. I also make fondant paper balls around the bottom of the cake. Also, instead of using just a plain cake board, I got a cheap ($9) white/cork board to place the cake on. The other items on the board were not edible. I just cheated and got some paper clips, pencils and sticky notes. Happy Birthday Jen!

Flowers and Dots Birthday Cake
This cake was made for our "Secret Angels" reveal night. The cake was probably the best tasting cake I have ever had. It was a dark chocolate cake with a mocha buttercream filling - YUM!! I got this idea from pinkcakebox.com - what an awesome website!! This was a very quick job, but it turned out relatively well. Happy Birthday Patti Saunders!!

"Elf" Christmas cupcakes
When I got the request to make these cupcakes, I thought that this would be an easy task. How could cupcakes be any harder than a cake, right? After making the cupcakes, and the mini cupcakes, I knew that this was going to take forever. Once I got all of the cupcakes iced, it was time to put the heads on. Boy was this a testing of my patience! After putting all of the cupcakes together all of the cupcakes and being proud of the work I'd done, I went to bed at a very late hour. In the morning I came down stairs to see that half of the Elf heads had fallen off! By the time I finished repairing most of them, I transported them to their location only to have more of their heads fall off. Will I ever do these again? Uh... :(
In spite of the many failures with these cupcakes, they turned out pretty good.
